fine hand-crafted wood furniture

home gallery commissions biography

i have been doing serious woodworking for about ten years, but was always building things before that.

my woodworking education is mostly from books and trial-and-error, but spending time in the summer sessions at the college of the redwoods fine woodworking program really opened my eyes and gave me the skills and confidence to do really good work.

if you are interested in doing woodworking, their programs are great.

my shop is located on our small farm in southwest washington, about an hour and a half from portland, oregon and about three hours from seattle. we custom graze cattle during the summer, and raise chickens, sheep, goats, and pigs. visitors to the farm and shop are welcome -- please call or write if you would like to visit.

we also operate two vacation rental homes adjacent to our farm.

when not chasing the cows back into their paddocks or fixing fences or woodworking, i am a software engineer.
